Let it be (The Beatles) - El Fin de una Era

De esta canción se dijeron muchas cosas, he escuchado opiniones de personas que decían que cuando cantaban de Mother Mary, estaban hablando de la mariguana, pero la verdad era otra, asi que enteremos acerca de esta canción que marcó el fin de una era.

"Let It be" (Que así sea o Déjalo estar) es una canción de The Beatles y es la más representativa del disco "Let it Be", el cual fue el último que sacaron a la venta antes de su separación.

Esta bellísima canción fue compuesta por Paul McCartney (aunque en los créditos viene firmada como Lennon/McCartney) y lanzada como single en marzo de 1970.

En realidad, a John Lennon nunca le gustó, pues pensaba que más se ajustaba al estilo de The Wings, que fue la banda que formó posteriormente Paul McCartney

El single alcanzó el número uno en los Estados Unidos y el número dos en el Reino Unido.

También fue número uno en las listas de países como Australia, Noruega y Suiza.

McCartney dijo que escribió "Let It Be" tras soñar con su madre durante la tensas sesiones para la grabación del "Get Back Album".

McCartney explicó que su madre, que había fallecido cuando el tenía 14 años, fue la inspiración de la Mother Mary a la que se refiere la letra.

Posteriormente McCarney declaró: Me encantaría que me volviera a visitar.

Me sentí bendecido por tener ese sueño. Eso me hizo escribir 'Let It Be'.

En una entrevista posterior declaró que su madre le había dicho: "Todo irá bien, sólo Déjalo Estar (Let It Be)."
