Sailing (Christopher Cross), la canción que creó el género Adulto Contemporáneo (Video, Lyrics & Chords)

Uno de los momentos cumbres de mi adolescencia fue cuando en medio de un partido de los San Antonio Spurs anunciaron la presencia de Christopher Cross, hijo ilustre de San Antonio y todos le aplaudimos.

Tan solo 2 años antes había sacado esta extraordinaria balada, Sailing, la cual llegó al #1 en Billboard, y lo convirtió en una megaestrella del Rock.

Sailing es una canción, escrita y cantada por Christopher Cross en su álbum de debut en 1980, que trata acerca de los placeres de navegar.

Fue tal el éxito de esta canción que lo llevó a arrasar con los premios Grammy de ese año, ganando el de Canción del Año, Arreglo del año y Mejor Nuevo Artista.

VH1 nombró esta canción como la más grande canción de rock lento de todos los tiempos; y según dice, el éxito de esta canción hizo de nazca el género Adulto Contemporaneo.

Era el año 1982 y yo estaba viviendo en San Antonio, Texas, ciudad de los Spurs; ese día estaba en el estadio viendolos jugar, cuando en el intermedio anunciaron que Chistopher Cross, que es de esa ciudad, estaba en el estadio, todas las personas se pusieron de pie y aplaudieron.
